The Camel Kafka Connect project, from the Apache foundation, has enabled the vast set of Camel connectors to interact with Kafka Connect natively. So, developers can start sending and receiving data from Kafka to and from their preferred services and applications in no time without a single line of code. In summary, during this session we will: - Introduce you to the Camel Kafka Connector sub-project from Apache Camel - Showcase a couple of examples of integrations using the connectors.
Cloud Native CI/CD on Kubernetes with Tekton

In the last few years we have seen big changes in how we design applications, with the Containers and Kubernetes. CI/CD tools are starting embracing the power of K8s as well, with scalable and portable pipelines. The most important open source project in this landscape is Tekton, which stems from Knative Build. For decades, a sharp divide was drawn between information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT). Only recently has there emerged a data-centric approach to IoT applications that seeks to bridge the gap between the IT and OT universes. The objective is to create a single, unified data plane that extends across the enterprise, from edge computing devices right into corporate data centers. This “edge-to-cloud” approach requires a new software stack that emphasizes low latency, high reliability, and flexible data models. This session presents a modern “edge-to-cloud” reference architecture and discusses strategies for building data-centric IoT applications using Hazelcast as an example technology.

Un sistema di smart metering è una rete intelligente attraverso la quale un sistema di misurazione evoluto ed efficiente è in grado di attuare telecontrollo dei contatori e portare grande valore in ambito energy management. È composto da tre elementi di base: i contatori, una rete di comunicazione e un sistema centrale in grado di raccogliere le informazioni proveniente dai misuratori, di validarle, di attivare i processi informatizzati di controllo dei consumi e di costruire una base dati finalizzata alla realizzazione di advanced analytics.

One of the primary challenges for modern IT is to process the fire hose of data produced by connected devices and to derive useful insights within seconds or milliseconds. Jet, the high performance stream processing engine from our partners at Hazelcast is a new type of product that is built specifically to address this type of challenge. Attendees will gain a basic understanding of stream processing in general and how Hazelcast Jet enables stream processing solutions by providing a scalable, fault tolerant stream processing platform. Further insight will be gained by considering how Jet can be used to implement a solution that processes GPS data from thousands of connected devices.

Sacbo, in partnership con SORINT.tek, si è dotata di un sistema che identifica l’ingresso in aree definibili dall’utente e specifiche per ogni telecamera di persone e veicoli. Il livello di confidenza degli allarmi è massimizzato grazie ad una significativa riduzione del numero dei falsi allarmi generati da questo sistema di visione artificiale rispetto ai sistemi tradizionali di motion detection.
